With sunshine, swimsuits and sandals comes sweat, heat and frizz. We’re right in the middle of summer, so I thought it would be the perfect time to share some of my summer must-haves. I even teamed up with my best friend, Caroline, to see what products she categorized as summer essentials. We also filmed a video together that’s now live on my YouTube channel, so be sure to check that out (and don’t forget to subscribe). Let’s get started!

Summer Travels: Wandering in New Orleans

“We wander through old streets, and pause before the age-stricken houses; and, strange to say, the magic past lights them up.”  – Grace King

Happy June, everyone! Usually this is my favorite month of the summer, but this stormy Florida weather is getting in the way of my beach days! Luckily, I got to kick off the summer in New Orleans. I went with Nick and his family to celebrate his 21st birthday. This was our third time visiting NOLA, and each time it gets better and better. We’re able to find new things we like about the city while also returning to some of our favorite spots.

Summer Date Night Look

file-1 (1)

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year for various reasons. However, the main reason is more free time!! Actually, this summer I’m balancing a part time job and two internships… Okay, I guess when I say more free time I really mean no school work. Having a break from classes and homework is truly such a relief.

So, instead of spending nights at the library with my boyfriend, we can make time for fun summer date nights. This look is what I put together for a recent night out in the beautiful Winter Park. Summer weather in Florida can be a little tricky. It can rain, be humid or just insanely hot. However, we were lucky enough to have great weather on this evening. It wasn’t too hot and the humidity wasn’t too high.

Spring Break: What to Pack

2017-03-10 03.14.03

Who’s ready for spring break!? Drinks on the beach? Tan lines?

Just kidding, we all know I’m all about that SPF and protecting my skin. And I don’t really like the taste of alcohol (but I will be getting my hands on a piña colada at some point). However, I’m SO ready for spring break. This semester has been kicking my butt, so I’m thrilled for a week with friends in Palm Beach Gardens.

Packing for a trip can be tricky. I hate when I overpack, but I also hate feeling like I don’t have enough options. I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of things, so I decided to share with you some of the items I plan on bringing on my week-long spring break trip. The biggest key is planning. Don’t just throw everything in a suitcase. Go over how many days you’ll be gone, the types of activities you’ll be doing and the weather. I know I’ll be spending a lot of time outside at the beach, on a boat, exploring the city and probably sweating (thanks, Florida heat). I’ll be keeping it casual and fun for most of the days and I’ll include a few nicer items for going out. Here are a few clothing items and accessories that I think are essential for a spring break trip:

Beauty Products for Spring

p56

Hi, everyone! I can’t believe it’s March already. This semester is going by so fast. We’re only a few weeks out from it “officially” being spring and I couldn’t be happier! Spring is a time for change, so I’ve decided to try some new beauty products. These are some products I’ve fallen in love with this past month, and I thought I’d share them with you.

First, we have one of my favorite perfumes, Eau De Toilette Vanille from Anthropologie. Now, I usually go for cleaner, floral scents for the spring but as you can tell by how little is left in the bottle, I keep reaching for this sweeter scent. I constantly receive compliments when I wear it. It’s a delightful scent that sort of smells like cookies, but not in an overpowering way. I’ll definitely be picking up another bottle when this one runs out!
