Summer Date Night Look

file-1 (1)

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year for various reasons. However, the main reason is more free time!! Actually, this summer I’m balancing a part time job and two internships… Okay, I guess when I say more free time I really mean no school work. Having a break from classes and homework is truly such a relief.

So, instead of spending nights at the library with my boyfriend, we can make time for fun summer date nights. This look is what I put together for a recent night out in the beautiful Winter Park. Summer weather in Florida can be a little tricky. It can rain, be humid or just insanely hot. However, we were lucky enough to have great weather on this evening. It wasn’t too hot and the humidity wasn’t too high.

I decided to wear this gorgeous Leah Crochet Sleeveless Top in pink from Francesca’s. I have been LOVING this color lately, and I know I will be wearing it all summer long. It was perfect for date night because it’s a casual top that can be dressed up, so I will be able to get a lot of use out of it. I absolutely adore the crochet detailing, as I have nothing else like it in my closet. Also, the fact that it’s sleeveless makes it perfect for the warm weather. I paired it with a statement bracelet (also from Francesca’s) and a simple pair of pearl earrings.

To dress it up, I paired it with some ripped white cropped jeggings from American Eagle. These are no longer available, but I found a similar pair for you here. I always find white denim more formal, so it’s perfect for date night. In order to dress it up even more, I wore a pair of brown Ralph Lauren heeled sandals. Unfortunately, these are also no longer available. I purchased them at TJ Maxx, so they were a discounted price (this poor college girl has a very strict budget). I recommend these Ralph Lauren wedges from DSW if you want something similar. I grabbed my Kate Spade Harmony purse and I was all set for date night!

Overall, I loved this look. I had so much fun walking around Park Avenue with Nick and getting dinner at Black Bean Deli, a delicious Cuban restaurant in the Orlando area. Keep an eye out for more summer date night looks and OOTDs coming soon. I hope you’re all having a lovely start to summer!

Yours truly,
