Happy hump day, everyone! I hope your week is going well. According to a certain groundhog, we have a few more weeks of winter. However, as a Floridian, that means nothing. The temperature is already getting back up into the 80s, which means that I can get by with dressing for spring (or summer, if we’re being honest). Since starting my job at Francesca’s, I constantly see things that catch my eye, but I don’t necessarily buy them right away. I am a poor college kid, after all. This dress was a different story. I knew I had to have this floral wrap dress the second I saw it. Initially, I was nervous about the length due to the fact that I’m only 5 feet tall, but the flowing silhouette is flattering on so many different shapes (and heights). It’s the type of dress that instantly makes you feel confident when you put it on.
Not much is needed to complete this look since the dress is so gorgeous on its own. I kept it pretty simple and added a pair of taupe suede lace-up sandals. For jewelry, I chose a pair of studs, a gold layered necklace and a gold moonstone ring. I found that gold and taupe went very well with the pastel colors of the dress. I will always love this look, but I’m going to enjoy playing around with different ways to accessorize this dress. Nonetheless, keeping it simple will definitely be my go-to way of styling it. The pastel colors, floral pattern and ruffle detailing makes it incredibly feminine and romantic, and there’s nothing better than that for spring.
